Murder inquiry after body found

A murder inquiry has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in east London.

The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was found with head injuries at an address in Crondall Street, Hoxton, at about 0300 BST on Sunday.

The Metropolitan Police said a post-mortem examination will take place to determine the exact cause of death. Next-of-kin have not yet been informed.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
