New public square opens in London
The square includes dramatic water features
Peninsula Square includes water features and a growing "green" wall
A new public square has opened in London, next to the O2 entertainment venue, formerly the Dome.

Peninsula Square is the centrepiece of Greenwich Peninsula, a new riverside community where 10,000 new homes will be built over the next 15 years.

Designed to be a leisure destination for Londoners and tourists, the square has a 45-metre high stainless steel spire and dramatic water features.

It also has a musical story wall with changing exhibitions and "video" wall.

The square is equivalent in size to Leicester Square.
