Peter Pan first appeared in print in a 1902 book

A fundraising performance of Peter Pan was staged in London marking 100 years of the classic tale.
Chicken Shed Theatre performed its adaptation of the JM Barrie classic at the Albery Theatre on Sunday to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The performance also included readings from celebrities such as actors Richard Wilson and Simon Callow.
Great Ormond Street Hospital, which treats sick children, gained the rights to the story when Barrie died in 1937.
First staged
Since then, the hospital has received royalties every time a production of the play is staged, as well as from the sale of Peter Pan books and other products.
Barrie created Peter Pan in stories he told to the sons of his friend Sylvia Llewlyn Davies.
Peter Pan first appeared in print in a 1902 book called the Little White Bird, a fictionalised version of Barrie's relationship with the Llewelyn Davies children.
Peter Pan the play was first staged at the Duke of York's Theatre on 27 December 1904.
