Man is charged with bar stabbing in Lincoln

Police have charged a 26-year-old man with murder after a stabbing in a Lincoln bar.

Stuart Whitelaw, 40, of Elder Street, Lincoln, was attacked in the Mezz Bar in Ruston Way, during the early hours of Monday.

Joe Palmer, of Allenby Close, Lincoln, was remanded in custody and will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.

A 25-year-old man arrested earlier has been released pending further inquiries.
