Land Rover recovered from River Witham
A family of nine were travelling in the Land Rover
A second child has died in hospital after her family's Land Rover crashed into a river in Lincolnshire.

Police said an eight-year-old girl died on Monday after the crash on the A153 at Tattershall Bridge, near Coningsby.

Her two-year-old sister Willow Gresham died on Sunday after the Land Rover went into the River Witham.

Nine people were in the car at the time of the crash. A four-year-old girl, a six-year-old boy, and a nine-year-old girl were also badly injured.

They remain at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

The eight-year-old girl, who has not yet been formally identified, died at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.

A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl and their parents - a 36-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman - were not seriously hurt, police said.

The two-year-old girl was taken to Lincoln County Hospital where she later died.

An inquest into her death is expected to open later this week.
