Severe fire hits village surgery
fire-hit surgery
The surgery was badly damaged in the fire
Patients at a Lincolnshire medical practice are facing uncertainty after their surgery was gutted by fire.

Firefighters said the blaze in Billinghay near Sleaford was caused by an electrical fault.

Fire crews were called to the practice on Thursday after flames were seen coming from the roof of the surgery.

The surgery and its contents were severely damaged in the fire. Crews carried out filing cabinets to try to save patient records.

A temporary surgery has been set up in a nearby village hall.

No-one was hurt in the incident and an investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
