Rogues gallery names litter louts
Eleven people have been fined for dropping litter in Boston after their pictures were published in a newspaper.

The 'rogues gallery' was published as part of a new zero-tolerance campaign to clean up the Lincolnshire town.

Officials now say they will continue releasing CCTV images of people caught dropping rubbish in order to identify more offenders.

Each of the people, identified by the pictures printed in the Boston Standard have been fined 50.

Andy Statham from Boston Borough Council said: "Boston's approach to this is quite innovative and it's attracting interest from other local authorities and we're quite happy to share our experiences with them.

"The ideal situation is that we don't have to do a rogue's gallery because people are using the litter bins and not throwing litter on the streets."

In another move the town council is asking people to fill incident cards reporting those responsible for littering or dog fouling.
