Youth in attack on disabled man
A disabled man was attacked by one of a group of youths who stood in a road and blocked the path of his car.

Kent Police said the 62-year-old man was driving his wife along the High Street in Rochester on Tuesday when he saw a group of eight or nine youths.

They said one of them placed his hands on the man's car, then banged on the window, stopped the man from getting out and then walked away.

When the man then got out of the car the youth returned and punched him.

Two witnesses

Police said the disabled man was punched in the face and when he tried to defend himself both he and his attacker fell to the ground.

The youth was pulled away by his friends and they walked away.

Two men came over to help the victim and told him they knew who his attacker was, but did not tell him his name.

Police said it was a totally unprovoked attack and asked the two witnesses, or anyone else with information about the incident, which happened at about 1825 GMT, to contact them.
