Driver dies when car hits hedge

A man died after the car he was driving left the road and collided with a hedge in Hampshire.

The red Renault Clio was being driven towards Tadley on Silchester Road, on Friday, when the accident happened.

The driver, who is believed to be an elderly man from the local area, was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police appealed for witnesses to come forward. Details on the man's identity have not been released.
