Man in court over suitcase murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the burnt remains of a woman were found in Hampshire.

Ziaul Haque, 27, of Drummond Street, Camden Town, London, was remanded in custody over the death of Polish national Sylwia Sobczak.

The body of the 26-year-old, from Tottenham, London, was found contained in a suitcase in Dummer near Basingstoke on 8 May.

Mr Haque was told he will appear at Winchester Crown Court on 30 May.

There was no application for bail.
