Boy charged with murdering youth
Daniel Loader
Daniel was described as 'home-loving and full of fun'
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a youth was stabbed to death in a city street.

Daniel Loader, 17, died in hospital following Sunday evening's attack in Purbrook Close, Lordshill, Southampton.

Another boy, 17, and a woman aged 33 arrested on suspicion of trying to pervert the course of justice have been released pending further inquiries.

The 16-year-old appeared before magistrates at Southampton Youth Court on Tuesday morning.

Det Supt Andy Stewart, of Hampshire Police, said: "At the moment we are still trying to piece together what happened.

"We urgently need anybody who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything to come forward.

"Our thoughts are with Daniel's family and friends at this time."
