An 11-year-old boy has been charged with motoring offences after a BMW car was stopped by officers, police said.
The child was arrested after the BMW 5-series vehicle was seen in Andover, Hampshire, without lights on 20 August.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces charges of driving without due care and attention, and without a licence, insurance or MOT.
The youngster has since been released on bail to appear at Basingstoke Youth Court on 21 September.
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: "Officers spotted the car being driven without lights along London Road on 20 August and, after following it for a short distance, stopped the vehicle."
