An 80-year-old woman has been killed and an elderly man is "fighting for his life" after a crash.
The woman was a passenger in a green Renault which collided with a silver Citroen on the A37 near Melbury Osmond in Dorset on Sunday.
An 82-year-old man - also a passenger - is critically ill in Yeovil District Hospital, police said on Monday.
The drivers of both cars were slightly hurt. The road was closed for eight hours and police are seeking witnesses.
