Exeter bar damaged in football clashes

Trouble broke out between supporters of Exeter City football club before the club's home game against Millwall.

A confrontation involving about 50 fans led to minor damage being caused to Henry's Bar on Mount Pleasant Road on Tuesday evening, police said.

The crowd was dispersed by police and there were no arrests before the game, which was attended by 5,700 people.

There was no trouble at the match which attracted nearly 500 visiting Millwall fans. The match ended 1-1.
