Poison fear over stolen oysters
People in south Devon are being told to avoid oysters if they are offered for sale in suspicious circumstances because they may be poisonous.

About 300 farmed shellfish were taken from a riverbank at Cockwood, near Dawlish, on Sunday night.

The two bags of oysters, which are valued at about 500, had not been purified, police said.

They added that anyone who was offered the stolen oysters for sale should contact police.
