Jobs go as bingo halls are axed
Thirty jobs have been lost after two Derbyshire bingo clubs were forced to shut their doors.

Bingorama at The Ritz in Belper and The Regal at Staveley, have closed down after 37 years.

Operator Stylus Sports said high tax rates and the recent smoking ban had contributed to the closures.

Managing director Peter Hargreaves said the clubs had become economically unviable and the move came with "much regret and sadness".
