Teenagers benefit from skate park
A new skatepark has opened in Tideswell in response to the needs of youngsters in the area.

The park has been paid for by a grant of £70,500 from Sport England and local councils.

It follows the findings of a village plan drawn up in 2004 which identified that young people needed more to do.

Wayne Allsopp, from Derbyshire Dales District Council, said: "The young people in Tideswell formed a skate group and designed this skatepark."

He added: "It is a fantastic facility that everyone can be proud of."
