Warwickshire firefighter death suspects bailed

Four firefighters died in the warehouse blaze

Three men arrested in connection with a warehouse blaze which claimed the lives of four firefighters have been released on police bail.

The men aged 42, 52 and 54 and all from south Warwickshire, were arrested on Wednesday.

They were questioned on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and Health and Safety offences.

The firefighters died tackling a blaze at a packing plant in Atherstone-on-Stour in 2007.

Three other men who were arrested in February in connection with the fire remain on police bail.

They were also questioned on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

The four firemen who died were Ian Reid, Darren Yates-Badley, Ashley Stephens and John Averis, and were from Warwickshire.
