Lady Godiva to parade to Olympics

A giant puppet of Lady Godiva will represent the West Midlands in the run up to the London 2012 Games.

The puppet of the legendary noblewoman, who rode through Coventry naked, will lead thousands of people through the city before departing for London.

The idea is part of an Arts Council scheme to find 12 projects to represent the UK as part of the build up to the Olympic Games.

Imagineer Productions has won £500,000 to design the puppet.
