Improvements to a notorious accident blackspot in Warwickshire are set to go ahead within the next 12 months.
The government has announced plans for a roundabout at a busy junction in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, after local people raised concerns about safety.
The stretch of road has seen a number of accidents over the past few years, some of them fatal.
The £2.5m scheme had been put on hold because of a lack of money but work is now due to start later in the year.
Road improvements
The roundabout will be built at the junction of the A45 and the A445.
Three people have died in separate accidents there over the last 18 months.
The scheme will provide a four-exit roundabout and will incorporate improvements to the left turn where vehicles enter the westbound Leamington Road from London Road.
Residents from the surrounding villages were recently told the plans had been delayed - but transport minister David Jamieson says the obstacles have now been overcome.
