A 12-year-old girl from Cornwall has recorded a CD to help raise money to pay for her grandmother's cancer treatment.

Kelly Worrall and her teenage sister, Sharna, are campaigning to help raise more than £800 a week to pay for a drug which the NHS will not fund.

Their grandmother Susan Dunn, 65, has spent £22,863 on the drug Cetuximab since August 2009.

Mrs Dunn, from St Austell, says the drug is shrinking her liver cancer.

Cetuximab is registered for use by some NHS patients, but not those with Mrs Dunn's particular condition.

The Cornwall Primary Care Trust will review that decision later in March, but in the meantime the family are doing everything they can to raise money and awareness of Mrs Dunn's predicament.

Kelly, who has recorded the Mariah Carey song Heroes, said: "The song kind of describes the situation because she is a hero.

"And she's trying to push her way through this."

Mrs Dunn said: "I am really delighted with them. I never thought they would have the confidence or the ability to do it."

She said the family was struggling to cope with the payments.

"It makes you wonder why somebody should have the right to put a price on your life.

"To my family, my husband, children and grandchildren I am worth £800 a week to keep going.

"Sometimes the situation makes you feel very depressed."
