Ten Cornish films vie for awards
The winners will been announced in Falmouth in March
Ten Cornish productions have been nominated for this year's Celtic Film and Television Awards.

The awards are given out in three categories - screen, radio and new media. The Cornish productions have been shortlisted from 400 entries.

Among the nominees are Rick Stein's The Teaching Challenge and the documentary A Picture Of Cornwall by Kurt Jackson.

There are 95 nominations in all with 27 for Scotland, 26 for Wales, 30 for Ireland, and 2 for Brittany.

This year's judges say the standard of entries has been "incredibly high", suggesting that the broadcasting industry is growing stronger in all of the Celtic regions.

The winners of the 2006 awards will been announced in March at the Celtic Film and Television Festival, being held this year in Falmouth.
