Borehamwood man charged over stabbing death

A man from Hertfordshire has been charged with murder after a 94-year-old man was stabbed to death in his home.

William Humphrey suffered multiple stab wounds at the house in Brook Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday.

Property, which included a television, is also thought to have gone missing from his home.

Marcio Reis De Sa Barros, 30, from Brook Road, Borehamwood, was arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with murder and eight counts of robbery.

He will appear at Hatfield Remand Court on Monday, a Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said.
