A huge fire has broken out at a scap yard in Gosport, Hampshire. This picture from Jonathon Savill shows how the black smoke has covered the sky.

Smoke is said to be billowing hundreds of feet into the air. Faye Jones captured this dramatic picture of the blaze, which is about 200 yards from her home in Gosport.

The thick black smoke can be seen from miles away. Eugene Attridge took this picture at the top of Portsdown Hill, many miles from the seat of the blaze.
