Protesters evicted from university building
Students who were evicted from an Oxford University building they had been illegally occupying since Friday may face disciplinary action.
Police and bailiffs evicted more than 50 people from Oxonford House in Oxford city centre on Tuesday, after the university obtained a High Court possession order on Monday.
Most of the demonstrators were Oxford University students protesting against tuition fees, and the university is now considering taking action against them.
Daniel Maudsley, 20, a student at Lady Margaret Hall, said: "During the summer the university brought in legislation that means any student not paying the tuition fees will be classified as non-resident and not be allowed to sit exams."
