Man 'stabbed childhood sweetheart'
Court graphic
A jury has been told that a 17-year-old girl was stabbed to death by a "childhood sweetheart", who became jealous and turned on her.

Emily Moxon, of Flitwick, Bedfordshire, had been dating Martin Rodney, 18, "on and off" since she was 12, Luton Crown Court heard.

Howard Morrison QC, prosecuting, told the jury on Monday that the two had such an intense relationship, it was only a matter of time before "something went wrong".

Mr Rodney, of Pippin Close, Flitwick, denies murder.

Miss Moxon died after crawling onto the drive of her parents' home on 7 December last year.

Mr Morrison said Mr Rodney had brought a kitchen knife, balaclava helmet, and rubber gloves from his home before seeking her out.

He said Miss Moxon had been stabbed several times with an eight inch blade and was heard to scream for help during the attack.

The trial continues.
